Package Description

The Mandalay Bay Hotel in Las Vegas, Nevada, is a 3,700-room hotel complex consisting of 43 stories and three radial wings.

After construction, its center core was sinking at a rate of more than a half-inch per week! The owner and developer engaged Nicholson Construction Company, where Tom served as chief engineer, to solve the problem.

In this webinar, Tom Richards provides a first-hand account on the differential settlement problems the structure faced and how he and his firm came up with the solution to save the hotel with 536 emergency micropiles installed at key locations.
