Fighting the Tides: Design and Construction Considerations for Coastal Bluff Stabilization and Seawall Construction with Josh Wagner and Danny Cohen, PE, GE

JC Baldwin has accumulated 50 years of experience executing coastal bluff stabilization and seawall construction projects along California’s challenging coastline, developing practical expertise in the unique techniques that make these projects successful. A significant portion of our presentation will focus on the constructability realities of working in coastal environments, where limited site access, steep terrain, tidal windows, and sensitive surroundings demand creative problem-solving and specialized equipment. Our goal is to offer CalGEO members a ground-level view of how these projects come together in the field, and the lessons we’ve learned delivering them safely and effectively alongside our engineering peers and partners.
