In Situ Testing (DMT, SDMT, and SCPT) with Eng. Diego Marchetti

This short course will focus on in situ testing using the Flat Dilatometer (DMT/Medusa) and SDMT/SCPT for shear wave velocity measurements, with detailed insight on: equipment, test layout, field machines and deployment, testable soils and limitations, test procedures, data processing, comparisons of results in well documented test sites, case histories in different world wide projects (onshore and offshore), and main applications to geotechnical design.
