Caltrans’ recent move to accept deliverables from any software platform is a meaningful
a positive change. But will this create freedom or just swap one proprietary format for
another? BoreDM has already helped firms in Texas navigate the same exact transition. When
TxDOT consultants needed more flexibility than WinCore could offer, we built workflows
that preserved full compatibility with state requirements while giving teams room to work
the way they prefer. We’re excited to bring that same approach to California. In this session,
we’ll walk through how to stay fully aligned with new Caltrans specifications while using
modern capabilities such as automated cross-sections, custom API-based analysis tools, and
integrations with platforms like OpenRoads. The goal is simple: ensure consultants can comply
with state standards — without being constrained to legacy software or workflows.
